As a newly created function, the Innovation Team have a duty and responsibility to drive business impact for all product areas of the business. We support the strategic and tactical needs of our internal clients with highly flexible, tailored and innovative bespoke solutions to help drive real business outcomes.

You will be part of the team responsible for developing and delivering Apparel innovative solutions. This is a role where it is key to have an in-depth fundamental understanding of apparel manufacturing, from concept to launch with a clear understanding of all the processes.  You will ensure all the products are built with athletes for athletes and represented with clear performance benefits.

  • Control a clear plan of apparel execution in line with athlete visits and the Innovation roadmap
  • Work with external Garment Tech & Sample machinist to ensure alignment on projects across the business
  • Working across the organisation you will identify new opportunities for innovation in Apparel
  • Work with the In-line team to investigate solutions and new ideas to feed into seasonal launches
  • Share knowledge with the Innovation team and In line functions
  • Ensure all machines are maintained through external suppliers
  • Ensure all Invoices are created and signed off to hit key financial timeline
  • Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to at all times, to ensure all regulations are met
  • Manage and own outside partners/vendors relationships to co-ordinate the execution of the projects
  • Responsible ensuring all project briefs and Tech packs are delivered to track progress
  • Work with the other Innovation team members to ensure all aspects of deliverables are incorporated into the projects
  • Plan out workload aligned with externals
  • Be the driver of the Interactive workshop, delivering the educational piece plus the interactive workshops
  • Understands and anticipate the need for change, diagnose the underlying issues and build the case for change with stakeholders. Build frameworks to plan and manage the continuous process of change including dependencies, risk and potential scenarios
  • Help deliver apparel solutions, ensuring that it is truly aligned with the inline direction and calendar
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with external suppliers to drive solutions to the strategy
  • Immerse the Sample room team into the athlete and consumer world, so a full understanding of needs and requirements are understood
  • Builds relationships and form alliances with external counterparts, communities of practice and stakeholders to scan for innovations and opportunities to form partnerships


  • Excellent sewing skills (hand and machine)
  • A flexible and creative approach
  • A knowledge of production methods
  • An understanding of fabric types and their uses
  • An interest in design and basic understanding of design methods
  • The ability to communicate ideas clearly
  • Considerable experience in the Sample/Manufacturing sector
  • Must be capable of tailoring even the most complex messages for different audiences in a manner appropriate to the audience
  • Ms Office: A candidate for this position must be highly proficient in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint, which are all necessary for the creation of visually, and verbally engaging materials, reports, presentations, and proposals for departmental heads and management, senior and junior management, stakeholders, and business partners
  • Must be self-motivated, be proactive going beyond the call of duty, have a keen eye for detail, be result-oriented, and have an ability to work stay calm under pressure and in uncertainty inspiring the same in the team
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues, translating complex concepts into simple terms where required
  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills
