The Social Content Strategy Manager role is on a minimum 12-month basis (Maternity Cover). This role offers a unique fusion between art and science. Your purpose is to be the custodian for data-first thinking within a creative driven Social Media Content team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Social Content, you will be responsible for developing the social listening and analysis strategy, using listening tools to uncover insights and develop actionable recommendations for how best to optimise our social media content performance. As a key support system of the media function, we will depend on you to be the eyes and ears of the ever-changing social landscape. The ideal candidate must have a passion for data interpretation and creating reports while having an appreciation for creative and impactful content.

  • Partner with the Marketing Insight team to integrate social platforms into marketing dashboards and other relevant marketing tools to produce reports and insights for all social media activity
  • Present strategical recommendations based on insights provided by social analytics dashboards
  • Help define social media content KPIs, monitor performance, and assess results relating to engagement, sentiment, mentions, locations, demographics, and related dimensions
  • Work with Head of Social Content to establish social listening and engagement guidelines and policies in response to changing business needs and global social objectives
  • Share relevant brand and competitor news and updates with key internal stakeholders. News to include topical trends as well as analysis of social landscape
  • Summarise key learning and highlights for various audiences across the brand
  • Help evaluate influencer marketing performance within owned channels and contribute to the influencer strategy from a data perspective
  • Manage use of social listening tools (e.g. Simply Measured and Iconosquare) and ensure tool adoption, training and best practices among internal users
  • Track ROI metrics as they correlate to social selling
  • Recruit, develop and manage the junior members of the social listening team. Ensure that they are fully equipped with the appropriate training and resources to fulfil their responsibilities
  • Manage a deliverable calendar of recurring schedule and ad hoc reports
  • Adhere to global Social Listening collaboration requirements including upkeep of shared calendars and the storage of report agreement documents and delivered reports
  • Evaluate the performance of athlete and influencer content on owned channels and create bespoke reports for respective stakeholders to determine investment ROI
  • Create bespoke reports for the creative team to understand how best to maximise impact of upcoming content by adopting a data-first mindset
  • Organise and run team fortnightly brainstorming sessions to encourage team collaboration and improve team chemistry
  • Flexibility towards out of hours and unsociable hours if required
  • 4 years + professional experience in marketing/business analytics, statistical analysis, predictive modelling or segmentation experience setting 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in social analytics 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to transform data into a concise, yet compelling story
  • Strong familiarity and understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Snapchat required
  • Experience of pulling data from social media listening/analytics tools such as Simply Measured, Icono Square and Chart Metric
  • Highly organised and impeccable attention to detail. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver accurate reports without grammatical or data errors
  • Strong sense of responsibility, takes ownership, self-starter and proactive attitude
  • Good mix of technical understanding and creative thinking
  • Must be comfortable presenting insights to a variety of audiences
    Strong strategic understanding of social listening from a business perspective
  •  You will be a strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex topics both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
  • Line management experience is essential
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues, translating complex concepts into simple terms when required
  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills
