The Social Content function offers an incredible opportunity for individuals looking to test their social media proficiency at the highest level. As Social Content Lead, you are required to lead a team of Social Channel Specialists. Your purpose is to be the driver for creative and impactful content, whilst ensuring that the brilliant basics are always front of mind.

Reporting directly to the Social Content Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of your cohort, managing the quarterly calendar and ensuring that your direct team and key stakeholders are aware and aligned. The ideal candidate must have a passion creating viral content, whilst simultaneously having the ability to drive commercial results.  

  • Lead a cohort of Social Channel Specialists, overseeing campaign and daily content execution across assigned social media channels
  • Content guardian, working closely with the Social Content Strategy team to ensure that we are continually evolving our approach and adopting a ‘testing’ culture
  • Project managing brand campaigns, events and product releases (From a Social Media POV) by working closely with Social Media Channel Specialist to determine how best to maximise impact
  • Assigned dedicated ‘Second Pair of Eyes’, tasked to sustain content impact, while making sure that the brilliant basics are not overlooked
  • Ensure that all execution deadlines are adhered to
  • Organise and run channel alignment sessions, ensuring that all Social Channel Specialist within your cohort are in sync
  • Own and manage your cohort’s quarterly content calendar, ensuring that the wider team has full visibility of upcoming content
  • Overseeing social briefs created by Social Channel Specialist, ensuring that creative due diligence is upheld and that briefs are aligned with wider channel plans
  • Represent your cohort in senior department meetings, ensuring that takeaway messages turn into actions
  • Support the junior team with daily content enquiries and delegate tasks when necessary
  • Own day-to-day communications with key stakeholders such as Creative, Athlete, PR and Customer Service to increase team alignment and encourage collaboration
  • Flexible towards out of hours and unsociable hours if required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a social media content role 
  • Strong familiarity and understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat required
  • Proven track record in delivery of KPI driven results
  • Highly organised and impeccable attention to detail. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record delivering KPI driven results
  • Strong sense of responsibility, takes ownership, self-starter and proactive attitude.
