The Social Content function offers an incredible opportunity for individuals looking to test their social media proficiency at the highest level.  As Social Content Manager, your purpose it to ensure that Gymshark is best in class from a content and experience perspective. Your purpose is to be the driver for creative and impactful content, whilst ensuring that the brilliant basics are always front of mind.

Reporting directly to the Head of Social Content, you will be responsible for developing the social media content strategy, owning and managing the bi-annual calendar ensuring that your direct team and key stakeholders are aware and aligned with upcoming activity. The ideal candidate must have a passion creating viral content, whilst simultaneously having the ability to drive commercial results.  

  • Manage and oversee all global social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and Snapchat 
  • Develop a social media strategy and KPI’s to increase brand awareness and overall engagement
  • Recruit, develop and manage junior members of the social media content team. Ensure that the team are fully equipped with the appropriate training and resources to fulfil their responsibilities
  • Create social media channel campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and approving implementation schedules
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members such as Brand, Media and CRM 
  • Work closely with the Social Content Strategy team to understand and act on market trends, user behaviour, new platform features, competitor activity and other relevant updates
  • Create and manage content risk management and quality control processes to protect the brand from potential controversy and/or anything else that might hinder our perception
  •  Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions have visibility over social media activity and can contribute
  • Managing communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure cross-department visibility and alignment
  • Educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within in-house roles
  • Building reporting frameworks to evaluate return on investment on the various platforms. Working with the marketing team to look at ways social media can work within wider campaigns.
  • Own and manage day-to-day communication with Social Platform account managers
  • Flexibility towards out of hours and unsociable hours if required
  •  Minimum 4 years’ experience in a social media content role
  •  2 years+ experience as a Social Media Manager
  •  Line management experience is essential 
  •  Strong familiarity and understanding of social media platforms  such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat required
  •  Proven track record in delivery of KPI driven results
  •  Highly organised and impeccable attention to detail. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record delivering KPI driven results
  •  Strong sense of responsibility, takes ownership, self-starter and proactive attitude.
  •  Good mix of creative thinking and commercial understanding
  •  You are a naturally curious thinking, self-driven character with a passion for understanding customers and meeting their needs
  •  Must be comfortable presenting concepts and ideas to a variety
  •  Strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex topics both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills
