Gymshark is a global fitness apparel & accessories brand, manufacturer and online retailer supported by millions of highly engaged social media followers and customers in 131 countries. Our development team is wholly responsible for the development of our 13 (at the time of writing) online stores, associated applications, integrations and software. We are an agile team applying the company’s ethos, ‘Be a visionary’, to the software aspect of the business. 

As a product owner within Gymshark you will play a key role in developing internal applications and systems as well as improving our customer journey and online retail experiences at incredible scale. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the successful operation of our internal systems, providing the various functions within the business with innovative and near-real time applications that help us to deliver the best customer experience of any brand.

As product owner you will be responsible for taking ownership of our internal software roadmap.

  • Gathering requirements from other business stakeholders to communicate to engineering team
  • Helping to identify & resolve issues
  • Identifying areas of improvement and new features
  • Prioritisation and Communication of roadmap to wider business and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Working with the software engineering team to deliver projects
  • Managing the software product team as it grows
  • Help design software architecture and data flows
  • Have a few years of experience managing products. It doesn’t matter so much what your job title was, so long as you have hands-on experience creating and leading tech products. We’re looking for people who have recognized opportunities and customer needs - and turned them into products that have delighted real users

  • Experience working with the AGILE software development approach

It would be great if you had experience in:

  • Working in and managing a tech product, i.e. website, ERP, data warehouse
  • Custom software built on AWS cloud environment
  • Backend development / administration
  • Working in high volume data environments
  • A successful track record of identifying and understanding stakeholder needs in new or ambiguous problem spaces and thinking outside the box to solve them
  • Empathy for the user, built up by previous experience interacting directly with customers
  • A strong drive to use data to make decisions, set success metrics, and share results
  • Past experience collaborating on product teams with architects and developers
