Gymshark is a global fitness apparel & accessories brand, manufacturer and online retailer supported by millions of highly engaged social media followers and customers in 177 countries. As a solely online retailer, Gymshark lives in the digital world. Our community and identity is incredibly precious to us, and everything we do is centred around that. Now, with the Gymshark Conditioning app, our arrival in the tech market, we’re looking to unite the conditioning community even further. Our new fitness and training app is designed to help structure workouts, track progress and unlock potential.

As a product owner within Gymshark you will play a key role in developing of the App as well as improving our customer journey. You will be responsible for the why, whenand what of the product the dev team builds.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • As Product Owner you will responsible for guiding the success of the App product leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it

    • Gathering requirements from other business stakeholders
    • Prioritising roadmap
    • Helping to identify & resolve product issues
    • Identifying areas of new features and improvements
    • Constantly work on improving the Apps UX/UI
    • Managing the app team consisting of – UX, UI and analyst roles
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

For this role you'll need to :

  • Have a few years of experience managing products. It doesn’t matter so much what your job title was, so long as you have hands-on experience creating and leading tech products. We’re looking for people who have recognized market opportunities and customer needs - and turned them into products that have delighted real users
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset. Roll up your sleeves, thrive in chaos, and get shit done
  • Be genuinely excited about solving customer problems
  • Ability to understand and leverage data to make informed product decisions, set success metrics and measure results
  • Default to action and help your team do the same
  • Be a team player, coach, and referee all-in-one
  • Have great communication skills
  • Work well with stakeholders from multiple disciplines
  • Have an understanding of the building tools and systems used by the Developers and Designers
  • Have experience collaborating with multidisciplinary product teams of Designers, Developers, UX Researchers, Content Strategists, and marketers
  • Experience working with the AGILE software development approach

It would be great if you had experience in :

  • Working in and managing a tech product, i.e. website, mobile app
  • A design or development background
  • Working on high traffic websites
  • A successful track record of identifying and understanding customer needs in new or ambiguous problem spaces
  • Empathy for the user, built up by previous experience interacting directly with customers
  • A strong drive to use data to make decisions, set success metrics, and share results
  • Past experience collaborating on product teams with designers and developers
  • Working on a transactional ecommerce environment

Bonus points on one of our teams for a technical background!
