Reporting to the Financial Accountant and Management Information (MI) Manager (pro-rata), the Finance Assistant will be supporting with both financial and reporting needs of Gymshark. They will be required to work under their own steam as an effective self-starter while managing an evolving workload within each 6 month stint. When reporting to the Financial Accountant, this person will assist with reconciliation and review of the balance sheet, including support with the Accounts Payable and Treasury functions. When reporting to the MI Manager, this person will assist with accounting entries, adjustments and analysis to ensure delivery of an on-time and accurate management information pack. 

Core Finance (6 months) 

  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Treasury functions with day-to-day tasks 
  • Balance sheet controls accounts – assisting with reconciliation reviews, investigation of discrepancies and unreconciling items
  • Assist with interim and year-end external audit procedures
  • Assist with reporting of creditors’ and debtors’ ledgers
  • Miscellaneous finance duties when required
  • Assist in the development of financial policies, processes and working instructions
  • Maintain a high standard of work adhering to all regulatory legislation

Management Information (6 months) 

  • Assist with prepayments and accruals process accurately and in line with month-end deadlines
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts, including flash accounts in line with set deadlines
  • Assist in preparation of monthly commercial pack
  • Assist in development and analysis of financial commercial insight
  • Perform ad hoc expense analysis and feedback to appropriate parties
  • Assist in the reconciliation and management of key balance sheet codes
  • Miscellaneous finance duties when required
  • Support all audit visits i.e. internal, external and contractual audits
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting practices, procedures and policies of Gymshark
  • Maintain a high standard of work adhering to all regulatory legislation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all sensitive matters

  • On track to achieving a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree (accounting, finance, business management, economics, maths, etc.)
