OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a second-year university student to join the Customer Insight team as an Intern for a one-year student placement. This role will support to the Customer Analytics, Research and Data teams within the Customer Insight function, helping to provide actionable insights on our customers and target audience to the wider business.

As this role will be involved in a mix of projects, it will give the successful candidate an opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a range of insight tasks. This includes conducting analytics on large data sets, supporting with qualitative and quantitative research projects, running data tasks such as the creation of data selections for campaign targeting and presenting back insights identified through reports, infographics and presentations. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Work with the customer analytics team on insight projects by conducting analysis on vast amounts of customer data and identifying trends that answer key business questions.
  • Support the research team with generation of insight through conducting desk research and assisting with primary research projects (e.g. customer surveys, focus groups, online forums etc.).
  • Work with the Data Planning Analyst to provide targeted data selections for business communications/campaigns.
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of Gymshark’s data through conducting data governance tasks such as data cleansing, GDPR compliance tasks and general data maintenance.
  • Turn trends/findings identified from projects you have completed into actionable insight, communicating these findings to the wider business through engaging reports, infographics and presentations that tell a compelling insight story.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand and fulfil their insight needs.
  • Undertake desk research and compile trend and competitor reports to share across the business
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Have successfully completed the second year of an undergraduate degree
  • Good IT literacy and confident using Excel, PowerPoint and MS word
  • A good listener with equally good organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn new tools and programmes
