The Infrastructure Intern will be responsible for assisting the Head of Infrastructure and Systems Administrator to ensure the organisation's computer systems are well maintained and operate reliably. Tasks will include setting up and maintaining company hardware/software, performing regular systems and security checks and monitoring. Helping set up, maintain and delete user accounts across various platforms as required. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relevant procedures and standards. Ensuring that hardware/software systems work as expected and provide technical support related to systems within their organisation as needed.

You must be able to communicate necessary information to supervisors, as well as make suggestions for how to improve operations as necessary.

Whilst technical skill is highly valued, being approachable and having a positive attitude is paramount as you will ultimately be working with every single individual within the business at some point troubleshooting issues or issuing equipment. Good communication skills is essential in order to quickly identify issues and either resolve or escalate to the Head of Infrastructure or Systems Administrator.

  • Supporting the maintenance of Gymsharks infrastructure across its sites. 
  • Supporting LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Setting up and issuing MAC/Windows + iOS devices
  • Staff on-boarding and training with software & hardware
  • Research into new technologies that can be used to improve business/staff productivity
  • Day to day staff in person/email/phone support
  • Providing support for Gymshark software/hardware emergencies
  • Maintaining network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
  • Administering servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Supporting AV, Security and Contactless Systems Plus.
