OVERVIEW:

Reporting to Gymshark’s Head of Customer Analytics we are looking for a Senior Customer Insight Analyst to join the Customer Insight team. This role is critical to helping Gymshark make better business decisions and improving the experience that we provide to our customers.

As Senior Customer Insight Analyst, you will act as a key partner to different areas of the business to keep insight at the heart of decision making. You will be responsible for delivering a variety of insight projects through analytics, ranging from straight forward agile insights to more complex strategic projects, primarily focused around the strategic areas of customer insight. You will undertake data mining, modelling and profiling tasks that lead to significant gains in customer understanding and targeting. You will become an expert in the use of our data and tools to develop innovative analysis.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Develop a complete knowledge of customer related data, build insight reports and dashboards and assist with customer understanding
  • Act as a key partner to teams across the business by providing actionable insight which can help to drive customer engagement, increased conversion of campaign activity, revenue growth and provide a world class customer experience
  • Production of advanced statistical models and segmentation (using techniques such as regression, CHAID and clustering) to provide actionable customer understanding that drives business value
  • Use the information and insight gained to share knowledge of customer behaviours across the business and implement new data & insight driven business processes
  • Liaise with the customer data team in order to enrich data available for analysis purposes
  • Adopt a continuous learning approach to data modelling, analysis, mining and reporting techniques, keeping up to date with the latest thinking and practices
  • Provide mentoring to colleagues within the customer analytics team in order to further develop the team’s analytical skills in advanced analytical techniques, including potential line management responsibility for junior analysts and interns
  • Develop strong relationships with all departments in order to position insight at the heart of the decision-making processes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within an analyst role, with experience in conducting customer focused analytics projectsAdvanced skills in analytics tools/languages, particularly in Alteryx, SQL, R and Python
  • Experience in conducting predictive modelling techniques, producing outputs that were embedded into business processes and have generated improved business performance
  •  Ability to ask the right questions and identify the most effective analytical methods to solve business problems
  • You are a naturally curious thinking, self-driven character with a passion for understanding customers
  • Ability to identify patterns and trends but also understand what is driving them
  • You embrace change and continuously look to drive improvement, innovation and your own development
