Gymshark is looking for a colour specialist that is interested in taking the brand to the next level by supporting continuity and breaking barriers within colour process. You will be instrumental in guiding the process from inception to bulk, working closely with designers, material development, product development and product management in bringing colour to life at Gymshark.   • Support design in defining seasonal colour palette (create trend presentations and evaluate risk)
  • Preliminary colour evaluation – projects on colour take up in different fabrications/textures/compositions
  • Manage the log of Style/Materials for colour management. This will be replaced by PLM
  • Responsible for implementation and execution of colour systems/process
  • Key stakeholder in managing critical path on all aspects of colourisation
  • Request, track and analyse all labdips to ensure on time commercialisation
  • Manage the bulk submission process to safeguard on time production
  • Support digital colour implementation process
  • Support Design and Product Marketing in commercial decision making on lab dips that cannot be improved
  • Working with Liason offices and Mills to maximise efficiency and ensure “right first time” can be achieved
  • Working with the Materials team to discuss improvements/limitations of certain substrates
  • Evaluating best practices with the colour team to identify improvement opportunities
Evaluate the progress on labdip approvals and produce reports of:
  • How many rounds are needed to get the colours right
  • How reliable a mill is on digital process
  • Which mills are high performing/low performing
  • How long the mills need between submissions
  • How many labdips are analysed daily by the team
  • Turnaround time of the labdips in Headquarters
  • High attention to detail
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Good level of experience in the textile industry
  • Strong communication skills are essential and an ability to manage competing stakeholder demands
  • Textile design/technology background
  • Datacolor and PLM experience
  • Good understanding of dyeing and finishing
  • Munsell 100 – superior colour vision
