OVERVIEW:
As a Colourist, you should be passionate about colour to drive forward consistency in the lines whilst assuring that fabrics are signed off on time for production. You will be working in a fast moving environment with highly motivated individuals. You will be responsible for colour from beginning to end, encompassing fabrics, trims and packaging.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Work with HQ colour team to ensure lab dip process and calendar remains on time
  • Support Colour Manager in UK office in collaboration with Mills during preliminary colour evaluation (risk assessment of material / colour combinations)
  • Provide reviews / executive summery to the Material teams quarterly on all supply chain partners lab dip submissions
  • Work directly with Mills to evaluate facilities, equipment and processes in order to maximise efficiency and ensure “right first time” can be achieved
  • Review / assess lab dips / bulk to ensure on time commercialisation
  • Monitor progress. submit achievability issues to UK office for review and final decision making
  • Support HK merchandising / technology team in colour evaluations
  • Operate the log of Style / Materials for colour management. This will be replaced by PLM
  • Implement and execute colour systems/processes (i.e. digital colour management)
  • Key stakeholder in managing critical path on all aspects
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Experience in similar position in textile industry
  • Textile design / technology background
  • Understanding of colours and colour matching process
  • Digital colour and PLM experience
  • Good understanding of dyeing and finishing
  • Munsell 100 – superior colour vision
  • High attention to detail
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Knowledge of chemicals and dyestuffs
  • Previous experience at a global brand
  • Experience in working with the Far East
