OVERVIEW:
This role will be the first role in a new department at Gymshark, they will be building a retail team and strategy from scratch alongside the IRL Director. Stores will start out in USA, UK and Canada, and eventually role out to other countries in accordance to Gymsharks business plan. This person will need to be a lateral thinker to create an agile retail strategy using a variety of locations and concepts. They will also be directly involved in creating an identity for Gymshark Retail.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Alongside the IRL Director you will be building a retail strategy for Gymshark, this will include budgeting, locations, and staffing requirements
  • Help build a Retail staff training programme so staff will fully understand Gymshark values and products – with support of IRL Director and Customer Support Director.
  • You will be responsible for the role out of all Gymshark retail stores across different territories
  • Forecasting and budgeting for each store and working with the commercial team to create POs for retail stock
  • You will be implementing new strategies and processes to the business to ensure success of the retail plan
  • Building a full retail team, and full management of this team in accordance with Gymshark Guidelines
  • Communicating/reporting information to C&D level on store performance and future plans
  • Managing relationships with landlords and temporary staff for the stores
  • Providing a forecast and budget for each store so that the Head of IRL/Events can produce/manufacture the store appropriately
  • Working with the creative team to create ideas and concepts for future stores
  • Working with the Customer support director to ensure that our offline/retail customer service and care mirrors what we offer online.
  • Working with the IRL Marketing Team to create and influence marketing plans for retail stores
  • Work with the wider IRL and PR team to identify opportunities to drive awareness to the stores and adapt the stores to talk back to the community
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Experience in retail management and retail strategy
  • Will have good contacts within industry for suppliers
  • Experience of forecasting and budgeting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships both internal and external
  • Must be able to take and give constructive feedback
  • Experience in recruiting staff and working across different territories
  • The ability to travel and work unsocial hours
