Logistics will be integral to Supply Chain delivery. The primary objective of the Logistics Manager is to ensure that compliant paperwork is produced where stock and non-merchandised goods are loaded for despatch across frontiers in the Far East. Where required customs declarations and import/export paperwork are to be complete and accurate and reflect the regulatory requirements of the origin and destination countries that give rise to potential liability to taxes on importation.  Strong planning and co-ordination skills will be required in liaising with forwarders, distribution centres and suppliers to support the flow of goods from the Far East.

You will be responsible for directing freight with forwarders, developing supplier compliance to Gymshark’s delivery requirements by instruction through the supplier manual and direct contact with partners for Far East. Strong processes and controls will need to be developed to ensure inbound lead times are met with the minimum intervention of the Authorities.
  • Be aware of all New Product launch dates; manage and monitor the performance and be prepared to intervene where there is risk to achieving accepted into warehouse dates.
  • Assist in Identifying, implementing and leading new logistics solutions for cost efficiencies and improving quality in the supply chain proactively.
  • Manage the KPI and Standard Operating Procedures performance of the Logistics function and for freight forwarders to achieve in delivery and all import & export activities.
  • Manage awareness of procedural changes across all departments in relation to Custom Clearance procedures.
  • Ensuring that all necessary Custom Clearance processes are implemented accurately and on time.
  • Prepare and retain paperwork for shipments across frontiers as required where Gymshark is the Importer or the Exporter of goods and produce customs declarations where required and sharing expertise with assistant
  • Make recommendations for improved procedures around the imports/exports of goods with a focus of compliance to the regulatory requirements in moving goods.
  • Maintain schedules for collection and movement of goods, detailing the responsibilities of all parties and maintain suitable standard operating procedures over the import and export of goods.

  • Degree Holder in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related discipline
  • At least 6 years woking in supply chain; preferring in Retail/FMCG company
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Organised, analytical, detail-minded & patient
  • Willing to be the starter in Logistics team
  • Good command of MS suite
  • Good command in Mandarin is preferred
